The Italian Academy of Design, dedicated to training in European design, vocational training and formal and non-formal education, was founded in Salerno, at the Ebris Foundation.

Ebris for Research
The EBRIS Foundation “European Biomedical Research institute of Salerno" was born in 2012 as a common project of the Fondazione Scuola Medica Salernitana and the MassGeneral Hospital for Children of the Harvard University.
The objective of the Foundation is to create a worldwide top-level research center, through the development of projects focused on the interplay between health and nutrition.
Clinical models such as celiac disease, type 1 diabetes, autism and schizophrenia will be thoroughly investigated to determine how nutrition, especially during the first years of life, influences the microbiome, some specific metabolic pattern and the mechanisms that govern the switch between tolerance and immunity in autoimmune diseases.
The Foundation is located in the Convent of "San Nicola della Palma", an historical milestone in the history of the old Medical School of Salerno.
